Auckland (Apex Auckland Branch)

The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an intermediate or senior Project Manager to join our Auckland team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for actively managing awarded projects to completion stage. You will be joining a close-knit team with a good culture and an impressive new office gym.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand scope, program & loading requirements for a project and arrange product procurement. 

  • Inform, manage & monitor installers for the duration of the project.

  • Maintain proactive involvement in procurements, cost management and reporting. 

  • Communicate openly with Main Contractors on project progression, variations, key dates and any issues which arise.

  • Complete progressive Quality Assurance.

  • Work closely with other Apex teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully on time and within budget.

Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience, skills and/or qualifications within the construction industry or a relevant trade area.

  • Minimum 3-4 years within a Project Management Role

  • Good understanding of the New Zealand construction market

  • Experience working on various sized projects

  • Excellent communication, both written and spoken as you will be dealing with key stakeholders.

Whangarei (Apex Northland Branch)

The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Installer to join our team on a full-time basis. The key responsibilities of this role include the installation of proprietary suspended ceilings systems but may also require the applicant to diversify their role to assist other trades. 
The suitable applicant will show potential and interest to work within our competitive industry, have ability to take instructions and follow them correctly.


Successful candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience in interior systems

  • Ability to read construction plans

  • A current SiteSafe Passport would be advantageous

  • Experience using hand tools and electric power tools

  • Understanding of site inductions

  • Ability to prioritise under pressure

  • Health & safety adherence

  • A solid work record

  • Fit and capable of manual heavy lifting

  • Available to work Saturday's and evenings (if required)

  • Valid New Zealand drivers licence 

  • Must pass our pre-employment medical check, alcohol and drug test.
